Twenty percent more men in Dubai have plastic surgery than those internationally, and anti-aging industry in the emirate and Middle East see,ms to be 'recession proof
The Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (DCAAAM) which hosts its industry expo in November, said anti-aging treatments garnered $162 billion globally in 2008. And clinics in the Middle East are spearheading the boom. Facial, skin and hair care and body shaping segments garnered $64 billion in 2008 and was expected to generate $105 billion by 2013.
Men are becoming more interested in aesthetic procedures, especially in skin refining and permanent hair removal.
